Chocolate protein muffins (vegan & refined sugar-free)

These muffins are loaded with protein and fiber. They are rich, delicious, and completely satisfying. A perfect on-the-go breakfast or post-workout snack.

Servings 10 muffins


  • 2 cups whole meal flour
  • 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder I used Chocolate Pump Protein from @Tropeaka
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder @Tropeaka
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


  • 1/4 cup drak chocolate chunks


  1. Preheat oven to 180 celsius. Grease the muffin pans or place muffin liners in a muffin tin. Set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, banana, vanilla extract and milk. Mix flour mixture to wet mixture and use a fork to combine.

  4. Scoop muffin batter into prepared muffin tin. About 3/4 full. Top each muffin with the chocolate chunks. Bake at 180 celsius for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  5. If you plan to freeze, cool completely before storing in freezer ziplock.
